Pioneer Square Hotels

While there are a bunch of hotels in and around Seattle, there aren't too many Pioneer Square hotels.

However, because the Pioneer Square historic district is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, new construction doesn't happen here too often, and that means that there aren't a lot of newer hotels around Pioneer Square.

In fact, there aren't too many hotels in the immediate area to begin with and if you're going to be traveling with your family to Seattle for vacation, I wouldn't recommend staying in a hotel in Pioneer Square. There are some better family-friendly hotels in other parts of the area (like in Seattle or Bellevue), and you can always make a day trip to Pioneer Square if it's something that you really want to do.

That being said, if you do want to stay a bit closer to the historic district while in Seattle, there are only about nine hotels within about a half mile of Pioneer Square:

The Best Western Pioneer Square Hotel
This hotel is the closest one to the actual Pioneer Square, and it's only about 0.2 miles away on Yesler Way. All in all it's a decent hotel but in the end it's still a Best Western so if you're looking for something a little luxurious, you might want to skip this hotel and find another one. However, if you just need a place to crash for the night, and don't need anything fancy, the Best Western Hotel in Pioneer Square would probably work just fine.
